Maidens come from far away
to meet their prince of a brighter day.
He walks with pride in valiant armor
and he becomes their sacred charmer.
His words grow strong like looming towers;
they'll listen to him speak for hours.
Like a politician straight from Mars;
he promises the moon and stars.
Blankly staring in a daze-
they wonder how he got that gaze.
Because he is so big and strong;
they follow him everywhere all day long.
They do not heed the warning token;
that their glass slippers can be broken.
For in one sunset evening came
dark stormy clouds - down pouring rain,
As chivalry leaves right out the door -
their prince rides off.., forevermore.
