A Child
The dance of a child is a joyful sight;
With limber leaps all day at play,
They try and reach the highest height.
Full of energy they break away.
The song of a child is full of delight.
All their cares are cast away.
With voices full of sweetness invite;
Sounds of happiness throughout the day.
The mind of a child is always bright;
Full of wonderment and dismay.
A question for everything in sight;
From a rainbow to the Milky Way.
The heart of a child is a precious light;
Full of innocence in every way.
Yearning to be taught of things upright;
In their playground of learning everyday.
