Love Rising

Picture?type=squarebyLyn Carr

Blazing like an ambient Sun;
Searing onward sparing none,
Deeply piercing heart and soul;
Having lost all self control.
Washing in like a restless tide,
Searching through the great divide;
For any eager open heart,
Willing to let it play its part.
Then before they realize,
There’s no room for compromise.
Caught up in the Rising of,
This crazy thing that they call Love.
Falling out of touch and time;
Feeling euphorically sublime,
Lost in blissful connotations;
Soaking in all of its sensations.
Always it will lift them there,
Through its grandiose love affair;
As reason takes a distant stroll,
They will lose their heart and soul.
Caught up in the Rising of
This crazy thing that they call Love.

Whispering Way

Picture?type=squarebyLyn Carr

Here I go again today;
Searching for that secret place,
Shadows coming out to play;
Quickly darting for the chase.
Now I wonder what will be
In that valley over there,
All just might be lost for me;
When I start to travel here.
Could it be that I’ll encounter,
Some tribal gruesome looking one,
Darting out from somewhere under;
The place that seems to have no sun.
Then there is that great big tree,
And creepily it begins to sway;
Always stretching out for me,
Like it’s going to take me away.
I know that I must keep on moving;
As long as there’s still light of day,
For the night is fast approaching;
As I travel through the Whispering Way.

Gathering

Picture?type=squarebyLyn Carr

There is a place around the way
Where legends are born or so they say,
Like lingering shadows traced in time;
Seeking all of those who look to find-
They search for the lost and darling fair,
With lovelorn songs and long curled hair.
Never again to their dismay -
Will they be able to dance and play,
Like the lightning falling from the sky
They were gone in an instant, with one big sigh.
Never again to pass this way;
And all was lost in just one day.
Over the hills and meadows were growing,
A wind of change with no-one knowing;
Just how it all would soon turn out.
But in that day there was no doubt;
That everyone gathered in that place,
Lost their lives without a trace.
Just how or why no-one really knows,
But from that place a legend grows…

Twisted Rage

Picture?type=squarebyLyn Carr

Like a mad dog they’ll lie in wait,
Full of poisonous venom and hate.
All the while they’ll want to pretend;
Of how much to you they are your friend.
Secretly they despise your very soul;
While they’re twisting and turning for full control.
They’ll boast and play every trick in the book;
While reeling you in for the final hook.
Pretending to have your best interest at heart;
Their goal is to own you right from the start.
It doesn’t matter what you say or want,
They’re always cool and nonchalant;
Making you look like you’re out of your reason.
It’s all about them no matter the season.
They are the ‘victim’ sometimes they’ll pretend
And to your madness there is no end.
They’ll lie and deceive in their dirty pool;
While laughing at you for being their fool.
It’s always a game that they have to win,
No matter the cost to you in the end.
The rules to them are always obscure,
They make their own of that they’ll be sure.
Beating you down with their rage every hour,
You’re just a pawn in their game of power.
