Into the life of a quiet storm;<br />
A never-ending wistfull mourn-<br />
Darkened crevices black and crude.<br />
Lost in an endless solitude.<br />
A cry from valleys low and somber;<br />
Heart wrenched tears in every chamber-<br />
So silent weeps the broken dawn<br />
And time is destined to carry on.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
In days that linger as the past comes creeping into the broken mind;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It seems hard to conceive in coming this far, trying to leave it all behind <br />
how crushing images fade into the darkness of the vast open hole;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
While a part is slowly dying, slipping away, becoming a lost soul.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Forever to embrace the longing that is gripping like a vice closing in and</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
unable to shake it off no matter how hard, trying every time to begin.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In days searching for an answer in something for the joy to come back;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Wondering when it was that it totally left and it all became black.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Was it something that was put far away just to keep or to hide?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Is it there to hold on to just to kill the inside?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If it can’t be remembered why can’t it just leave?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Why should it continue to suffer and bereave?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In days feeling lost like something dreadful is on the horizon and</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
while trudging on in this existence fighting through its depression,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hoping that beyond this can be found something far better and</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
just a feeling of peace would make things so much brighter.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Always continuing on, realizing that nothing is as it seems but you </div>

keep searching for a change in the future with hopes and dreams.</div>

Some would gasp and some will sigh, but</div>

Do we capture the essence of soul in death?</div>

In the brightly lit forest that lies below</div>

Wandering through its moss covered floor</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
with mists on its leaves from the rains</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Oh will it be through de'ja vu in that I'd will to remember you? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
How could you know how soon I would go </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
to drift among the sands of time; </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Only to leave the shadows of the memories of you behind..., </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In the back of my mind. Oh but only if I'd remained </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
maybe things would not have stayed the same. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For time has made us hard and indifferent </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
leaving each strained and alone; </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
only to say in our hearts what's past should be gone, </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
in love's we yearn..., in the lessons we learn. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Oh through the essence of dreams how you may creep upon night's hour. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Strange how the minds eye sees things as they are </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and not what they should be; when I think I want to return </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
to the times we shared in wishful bliss..., </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I realize it's only the memory I miss.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Oh the memory I chose that was not in you </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and the truth was not there. I only knew and saw </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
what I wanted you to be which was not at all the reality. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I will still look for a dream through the sands of time..., </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and find a love in the end that's mine.</div>

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
One who hears without reception;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Voices surround from every place.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
They speak with words full of deception.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Just filling up every empty space....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Whispers follow in the dark of night;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Squeezing life from the one who hears...,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Like spearing arrows in deadly flight,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
With painful blows; opening many fears.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One longs for silence to hush them away.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Maybe it just wasn't meant to be,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For even through the light of day,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The darkness speaks to those not free.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Destiny could not be welcomed here.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And freedom had been lost....somewhere.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The one who was listening could not hear;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Their sounds they made when passing there.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Unrecognizable...,twisted and spent;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Voices were heard for all their good.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
One had existed, came and went.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Maybe she . . . just for a second,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Would send a whisper to him and say,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Desire was there for him only to beckon,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Should he then steal her heart away?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
If anyone falls, somewhere, sometime . . .</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In the back of her mind</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She'll see his face and hear his voice,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
With every minute of time . . .</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Printing his shadow against the wall of her heart.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's just for her and only her to see. . . .</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Dare he not feel or see the same as she?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She'd understand if he wills to be distant.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's just her flight caught in an instant.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But she just wanted him to know</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That she'll see men everywhere, every day.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Yet when she thinks of him, this she'll know . . .</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's been a long time since she's felt this way.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And if anyone falls . . . it will be him she'll see,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Because she'll see him as she did that day.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
beckoning forevermore my soul into</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
it's hidden beauty...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Enhancing the dusk with it's blanket;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
hovering over all the mounds of my</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
sphere where I am anchored.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Seeming to become as the watery deep-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Descending into waves and mists darkened</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
to the color of purple.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Glistening swirls of light flicker in</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
various design beyond the crescent moon.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Luminous grey forms subtly drift across</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
the canopy-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Glowing a light-colored pink...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Waning the dawn of morning.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Flood of memories come again; take me back to</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
the river's end. Where on a bright and sunny</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
day, nothing harmful came my way. Upon these</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
banks and on this shore, I'd wish to stay</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
here evermore. It's here I played as a little</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
girl; by the trickling waters I'd dance and</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
twirl. Let tomorrow be unheard of, because</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
my heart was full of love. For all of beauty</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
was everywhere; I'd soak it in with none to</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
spare. All the birds would sing to me, when</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I stood nearby the great oak tree. I'd pick</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
flowers all day long; skipping to my happy</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
song. So take me back and let me spend</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
another day at the river's end. Let my heart</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
just float away... again to a peaceful,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
happy day.</div>

Maidens come from far away</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
to meet their prince of a brighter day.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
He walks with pride in valiant armor</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
and he becomes their sacred charmer.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
His words grow strong like looming towers;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
they'll listen to him speak for hours.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Like a politician straight from Mars;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
he promises the moon and stars.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Blankly staring in a daze-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
they wonder how he got that gaze.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Because he is so big and strong;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
they follow him everywhere all day long.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
They do not heed the warning token;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
that their glass slippers can be broken.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For in one sunset evening came</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
dark stormy clouds - down pouring rain,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
As chivalry leaves right out the door -</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
their prince rides off.., forevermore.</div>

Candlelit reflections through crystal</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
glass-mirrowing image of flame in the eyes;</div>

tender expression-illusions surmise.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Captivating potion dominates the air;</div>

Continually overtaken in a sigh of despair,</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Awed by the masque and the thesbian-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Powerless and withered in subversion,</div>

dancing devils of hearts espionage-allures-</div>

with secret desire into the flame.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What seems to be the matter, can't find what you're looking for?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Maybe if you look hard enough it'll show up at your door.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
With all of your good fortune it might fall right in your lap;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now wouldn't that just be a hoot and can you imagine that?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ah, but let me guess, it must've slipped right through your hands;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But if and when you find it you can bring in the marching bands!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I hope that you don't wonder when you're sitting by yourself-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
How choosing, taking down and putting it back upon the shelf;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Could make much of a difference while your changing up your mind </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
With all of your indecision I'm sure there must be plenty of time-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To figure out exactly what you've been looking for all the while.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It would have to fit a special mold of course and be a certain style.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Ah, let's see, you might have lost a feeling or maybe even two-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But then again you might not even have any, or do you?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You might find it on a pedestal somewhere high, way up above-</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then it might be worth some extra time and effort to keep hold of.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Somehow I can't imagine how it could've slipped away;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You always seemed to be so good in keeping it at bay.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well if and when you find it and for your sake I hope it's soon;</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
No need to be wasting so much time just barking at the moon. </div>
